This unique and beautifully furnished 2 bed apartment was formerly St Andrew’s Chapel. Designed by Pugin the Chapel has elaborate gothic features and stained glass windows. Perfect for a romantic getaway in the Highlands. From the moment you walk in to St Andrew’s Chapel you know it is something special. An exquisite and unique property in the Highland Club with vast ceilings, stunning architecture and amazing stained glass windows.
With beautifully designed furniture St Andrew’s Chapel has a large open-plan living area, with a magnificent vaulted ceiling. The stylish kitchen with its granite worktops and central island is fully fitted with electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, microwave, washer/dryer and a full complement of high quality kitchen equipment and utensils.
The sun shining through the stained glass windows reflects with wonderful effect on to the large glass dining table. 50″ smart TV, DVD and fast wireless internet connection are all available for your pleasure. A range of books and games are provided.
The bedrooms are located upstairs for a maximum occupancy of 4. The galleried master bedroom is extremely spacious and provides views of the stained glass. There is a useful area with a desk to enable you to work if needed. The en-suite bathroom has both a bath and separate powerful shower.
The adjacent second bedroom is a very comfortable double with the convenience of a second shower room just at the bottom of the stairs. High quality towels, bedding and robes are all provided.
Available for your highland holiday or short break in the beautiful Abbey on the shore of South Loch Ness.
There are EV chargers on site at The Highland Club for guests to use if required.
Please note that if you are looking to arrive over the festive period we do not allow check ins on the 25th and 26th December due to staff holidays. Also, please note that the swimming pool is closed on 25th and 26th December and 1st and 2nd January, again due to staff holidays.

“This apartment in an abbey setting is one of the most unique places I’ve ever stayed in! The pictures are completely accurate and you are literally surrounded by stained glass windows in the living room and kitchen. The bedrooms are on the second floor and the master bedroom is open to the living area downstairs in a loft. The apartment is clean and well stocked and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The Highland Club grounds are beautiful and the location is right next to the start of the Loch Ness cruise and to the little town of Fort Augustus.”

“WOW!!! Just WOW!!! We love historic spaces and this apartment was just incredible. Built inside the original Abbey while maintaining the original architecture inside the space. Original stained-glass from the Abbey still coloured the gleaming space. The columns and curved stonework is still intact and absolutely stunning. The loft space where the master bedroom is located allowed us to look down on stained glass and stonework from above. Lots of modern amenities (indoor pool, gym, etc). Wish we had been able to stay longer. Just a short private walk to town where there are restaurants, a convenience store, and a great coffee shop with kind and personable owners.”
