The historic Cloisters walkway links the Abbey Church with the rest of the Monastery, Loch Ness and its facilities. Averon has a lovely blend of both modern and traditionally Scottish decoration and would be a lovely place to spend your holiday or short break. The whole apartment is beautifully coordinated and has the original stone pillars throughout, one of the best equipped apartments in Fort Augustus Abbey.

Averon Highland Club Accommodation
The ‘Averon’ apartment is a beautifully decorated and furnished two bedroom apartment and benefits from being on the 1st floor of the Abbey Church Building in the Highland Club (access via stairs only) where you will find the swimming pool and spa facilities (sauna & steam room). Maximum occupancy 6.

In the large open-plan living area there are two white leather settees and one of these doubles up as a comfortable sofa bed allowing sleeping of up to 6 people. There is also a large Smart TV and a bluetooth soundbar for you to enjoy.
The glass dining table allows seating for up to six people with matching white leather chairs. The stylish kitchen has granite worktops and is fully fitted with electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, microwave, washer/dryer, and a full complement of high quality kitchen equipment and utensils.
In the large master bedroom suite you will find a king-size white leather bed, comfortable leather chairs and solid oak furniture, including a wardrobe and chest of draws. There is also a smart TV in the master bedroom.
The Scottish ‘family tartan’ curtains throughout the property are beautifully complimented by the bed throws and cushions in each of the rooms. The en-suite bathroom to the master bedroom has both a bath and a separate powerful shower.
The second bedroom has matching twin beds with a solid oak chest of draws and bedside cabinets, the second bathroom benefits from a bath and a powerful shower above. All quality towels and bedding are provided.
There are EV chargers on site at The Highland Club for guests to use if required.
Please note that if you are looking to arrive over the festive period we do not allow check ins on the 25th and 26th December due to staff holidays. Also, please note that the swimming pool is closed on 25th and 26th December and 1st and 2nd January, again due to staff holidays.

“We had a great time staying at this apartment at The Highland Club. The check-in process was easy. The apartment was great and just as described. We had 3 younger children with us and they loved staying here. We could walk all along the grounds and in the building. They enjoyed the play area, playing ping pong, swimming and chess!! It was an easy walk to everything we needed in town and right next to the Loch Ness tours. Would definitely stay here again.”
“This was a very unique and amazing stay, I only wish we could have stayed longer. The Abbey made my group feel like we were staying in Hogwarts. The apartment had everything one would need and was very clean. This is the definitely the best place to stay for Loch Ness and also a close drive to the Glenfinnan Viaduct (Harry Potter Train). There are also several castles to visit in the area. The Lock Inn was a great place for food and drinks and just a short walk. The kind man that greeted us was very informative and welcoming. The Tea and Chocolates was a nice welcoming touch as well!”
“This was a once-in-a-lifetime stay! It was so amazing to be inside an abbey and to have all the amenities within the abbey and on the grounds. There was a huge chess set outside, gardens to play ball in, a ping pong table, a pool inside, and many other amenities. It was amazing just to walk through the abbey! It was also just a few minute walk to get to the town – maybe 2 minutes. I can’t recommend this place enough! The apartment was also nicely decorated and coordinated – I could tell that a lot of thought had gone into the decor of the place. It was clean and had what we needed. Again, an excellent stay!”
