Pine View apartment is situated in the peaceful riverside village of Invergarry in an ideal setting for exploring the beautiful Scottish Highlands and Islands.
This stunning two bedroom apartment is finished to a very high standard, comprising open plan lounge and kitchen with dining area, the kitchen is modern with integrated appliances including a half sized dishwasher, electric cooker and hob, fridge/freezer and washing machine. There is a TV in the lounge, DVD player and free wi-fi.
One double bedroom with a large walk-in wardrobe in the main bedroom and a twin bedroom (all linen and towels provided). The spacious bathroom has a three-piece white suite with full tiling with a shower over the bath. The internal staircase has no stairgate and the property is therefore unsuitable for children under the age of 6 years.
The grounds are well maintained and the apartment has a lovely outlook to the front elevation towards the River Garry. There is a covered bike storage area, washing line and a shared grassed area (unfenced from the main road).
There are plenty of walks straight from the apartment and further afield with the Great Glen Way, a 79 mile long distance walking and cycling route, passing through Invergarry. It is possible to walk or cycle from Fort William to Inverness avoiding the main road.
Not far from Invergarry is Monster Activities where white water rafting, abseiling, clay pigeon shooting, archery, kayaking and canoeing are available.
The village has three hotels. The Invergarry Hotel, a 4 star country inn, provides an open log fire and a welcoming bar and restaurant, while the newly opened Rokeby Manor, situated on the outskirts of the village, offers authentic Indian cuisine and a warm welcome. Glengarry Castle Hotel, a 3 star country house, sits on the shores of Loch Oich with the ruins of Invergarry Castle, seat of the MacDonnell clan, situated in its grounds.
Invergarry is ideally placed for visiting the Isle of Skye which is linked to the mainland by a road bridge, but it is still possible to take a ferry from Glenelg over the short crossing to Skye during Easter to October.
Fort William, The Outdoor Capital of the UK, is a forty minute drive south and a great area for all outdoor activities and snowsports. It is also home to our highest mountain, Ben Nevis. The Scottish Six Day Trials and the Mountain Bike World Cup are held here annually.
Loch Ness is just seven miles away with the pretty canal-side village of Fort Augustus well worth a visit. Loch Oich, Loch Ness and Loch Lochy form part of the Caledonian Canal considered by many to be one of the greatest waterways in the world. It stretches from Inverness to Corpach connecting the North Sea with the Atlantic Ocean.
Getting to Invergarry is easy: situated just off the A82 between Fort William and Fort Augustus and about a one hour drive from Inverness airport. A regular inter-city bus service runs nearby, while daily buses to and from Skye stop just down the road
