Things to do

A beautiful area with so many things to do. The back of the site is the Great Glen Way  which is a  coast route for walkers and cyclists which goes from Fort William to Inverness and along the banks of the Caledonian Canal, which includes Loch Ness. There is access to Loch Oich and a water sports company on site and also to the Inver Garry railway museum which has a working engine just behind the site. Fort Augustus is a charming village which sits at the bottom of Loch Ness and is only 8 miles away.

Reviews:

“We can highly recommend this lodge, especially if you are looking for a quite break away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We had an amazing week with great weather. Evenings spent lying in the hot tub watching the stars was a real bonus. The accommodation was spotless, with everything in its place and available when we arrived. The location is very central, so everything is only a short (for the area) drive away; Skye, Inverness, Fort William, Glencoe etc All in all, a great holiday and a great place to stay; we’ll certainly be returning to lodge 4!”

“Fantastic stay at the Lodge, wonderful views, accommodation was bigger than expected, hadn’t even realised there was an ensuite on the main bedroom. Loved our stay and it was great coming back in the evening to spend some time in the hot tub. Fantastic base for exploring, we visited the Isle of Skye, Inverness and Aberlour. Overall a great stay!”

“Had a great week in this lovely lodge. It was lovely and clean and has everything you need to enjoy your stay. Having some milk and shortbread was a nice touch when we arrived. The beds are really comfortable, plenty of seating space in the lounge and the hot tub is great to relax after a day exploring the area. For us though the star attraction is the view looking over Loch Oich! Doesn’t matter if you’re sitting outside or in the lounge – we found ourselves just sitting there gazing and watching the boats pass by! It’s also really well placed for exploring the Highlands. Fort Augustus is about 10 miles North and is a lovely little village at the Southern end of Loch Ness with locks onto the Caledonian canal and well worth a visit if you’re in the area. I’d recommend this place 100%”
