A beautiful area with many things to do. The back of the site is the Great Glen Way, the coast to coast route for walkers and cyclists which goes from Fort William to Inverness along the banks of the Caledonian Canal, which includes Loch Ness. There is access to Loch Oich and a water sports company on site and the Invergarry railway museum and working engine is just behind the site. Fort Augustus is a charming village which sits at the bottom of Loch Ness, is only 8 miles away.
NB for initial advertising purposes the photos of the decking and hot tub, bedrooms and kitchen are of our recently renovated 2 bedroom lodge on the same site. This lodge will be finished to the same high standard with possible variations on colour.
Review for our 2 bedroom Lodge on the Same Site
Guest review:- We can highly recommend this lodge, especially if you are looking for a quite break away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We had an amazing week with great weather. Evenings spent lying in the hot tub watching the stars was a real bonus. The accommodation was spotless, with everything in its place and available when we arrived. The location is very central, so everything is only a short (for the area) drive away; Skye, Inverness, Fort William, Glencoe etc All in all, a great holiday and a great place to stay; we’ll certainly be returning to lodge 4!
Although every effort will be made to ensure that the hot tub is ready to use on the day of arrival, it cannot be guaranteed.
Please note that the use of the facilities at the Highland Club would NOT be available when booking this property.
Too relaxed to cook? No problem. Take a 5 minute drive or a 30 minute walk along the Great Glen Way to the Eagle Barge*, a floating pub which also does meals or drive 8 miles to Fort Augustus to The Bothy which sits next to the 3 staircase locks leading onto Loch Ness and enjoy a meal and a pint with the locals. For a special celebration book a table at Russell’s Restaurant at The Smiddy at Spean Bridge, 11miles away, for a fabulous meal in a romantic setting. Rokeby Manor in Invegarry, a 10 minute drive away, does great, very different, Indian food as well as more standard fare. The Invergarry Castle Hotel* is set in a stunning location and also does meals and a very good afternoon tea. (*Open Easter to the end of October).
